The cortijo is set in a beautiful situation within the finca of 20 hecatares which ensures privacy and tranquility.
It has been renovated with loving care using traditional materials; the windows, thick shutters
and doors were made by our local carpenter with seasoned chestnut wood
In the spacious double height sitting room there are lots of books, DVDs and comfy chairs.
Doors lead on to the porch and terrace with lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
Airy and cool in the heat of the summer, wonderfully atmospheric and warm in the autumn and winter.
The kitchen is well equipped and features a marvellous old stone work table, very inspirational for imaginative cooks.
There are attractive ceramics and tableware for special meals.
The dining room leads off the kitchen; there is a huge 3.30 metre dining table and access to the back terrace
with barbecue, dining table for lovely outside dining experiences and sweeping views up to the peaks.
The little path to the swimming pool starts here, the pool is inviting with Roman steps leading to the crystal clear water.
There is accommodation for 6 people in three comfortable bedrooms, all have en-suite bathrooms.
The upstairs bedroom has access to a secluded 20m2 roof terrace with the best views of the mountain.
There is a wonderful outside double bed with a canopy for sleeping out on balmy summer nights
All the bedrooms are individually decorated with furnishings, rugs and textiles from Morocco and Mali
Two twin bedrooms lead on to the covered porch through french windows, with lovely views across
the countryside. Both rooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Easter, Christmas and new year holidays have a minimum stay of 4 nights
All inclusive except for logs for wood burner if needed which are charged according to use and gas propane heaters charged according to use.
Swimming pool is operational from May 01 - October 15.
Cleaning is once in a 2 week stay with linen change, extra cleaning and linen change can be ordered at extra cost - 20 euros per clean.
Damage deposit of €150 charged with final payment (returned if house is left in good order less €40 final cleaning charge)
Swimming pool is shared with barn rental if it is rented, exclusive use can be discussed. The pool is a big space with room for everyone, plenty of loungers and chairs and plenty of privacy in the pool area, the cortijo and barn each have their own exclusive space around the pool.
Remember we are running our houses on solar power and we kindly ask you to be economic with devices such as fans and not use them at night. All the houses are designed to catch the breeze at night so the temperature is comfortable without fans.
We are sure you will keep the cortijo clean and tidy during your stay but it will still be necessary to clean it professionally at the end of each stay; there is a cleaning fee of 40 euros per booking to be paid on reservation within the damage deposit payment.

CONDITIONS FOR FINCA AL-MANZIL, MONTANCHEZ
- CORTIJO AND BARN
- An agreement between client and the owner/manager of Finca al-manzil will come into existence when a deposit payment has been paid and acceptance and confirmation of your booking is made by e mail stipulating rental period and payment schedule.
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the holiday price is payable at the time of booking. Bookings made less than six weeks before your arrival date must be accompanied by the full amount of the holiday charge plus the refundable damage deposit .
- The balance of holiday rental must be paid no later than six weeks before the commencement of your holiday. If the balance is not received by the due date then there is a risk of cancellation by owner.
- CANCELLATION POLICY
- All cancellations must be immediately notified in writing. If the client cancels holiday more than 6 weeks before arrival date then the deposit will be forfeit unless we can find another booking for the cancelled dates in which case we will return deposit.
- If cancelled after the full payment has been paid at 6 weeks before arrival we cannot return the payment unless we can find another booking for the cancelled dates OR there are official travel restrictions issued by the government due to pandemic or other local or national conditions which have officially restricted travel. In these circumstances the client may choose to either postpone their holiday for a later date OR receive a refund of money less the initial deposit payment. Damage deposit will be returned in any case.
- We strongly advise that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover your loss of payments in case of cancellations. Your travel insurance should include health care and accident cover.
- Your booking will not be cancelled by the owner except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control. Notification will be given of the cancellation and a refund all payments already made for holiday. Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us.
- The number of persons using the accommodation at any time must not exceed that stipulated in the booking details. Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under eighteen years of age.
- We reserve the right to refuse a booking request without giving any reason.
- We or our representative reserve the right to enter the house during the rental period if it is necessary for essential maintenance, cleaning or for inspection purposes in view of solving any problems. This is only necessary in emergencies and with the clients present when possible.
- Rentals normally commence at 17.00 unless otherwise agreed and guests are required to vacate the house by 11.00 on the day of departure. This allows the accommodation to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for incoming guests.
- Pets must be pre-arranged and agreed at time of booking.
- There is a no smoking rule inside the houses, ashtrays are provided for smoking outside.
- Damage deposit – In making a booking you accept responsibility for any theft, breakage or damage caused by you or any member of your party and agree to forfeit part of or all of the damage deposit if any of these occur.
The owner reserves the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable condition.
- The full damage deposit will be returned within 3 days of the end of your holiday if no damage occurred less €40 cleaning fee.
- Please note that in the event that any keys issued are not returned at the end of your stay, then the cost of replacement will be charged to you.
- Swimming pool: Children under 18 must be supervised by their parents/guardians at all times.
- Any problem or complaint which the client may have concerning their holiday must be immediately reported directly to us/our representatives and we will endeavour to put matters right. Any complaints not reported to us/the property manager at the time and only reported after the client has departed will not be considered.
